Mobile App Control ^[6]

DJI Neo supports Wi-Fi connection to smartphones, eliminating the need for an additional remote controller. Control Neo using virtual joysticks on the DJI Fly app interface, with a control range of up to 50 meters. [8] The app also allows you to set the tracking angle and distance, giving you the freedom to shoot from afar or up close as you please.

RC Control ^[9]

When paired with the DJI RC-N3, DJI Neo can achieve a maximum video transmission distance of 10 kilometers. [10] Flexibly operate the camera using traditional RC control sticks when you need to capture professional level shots.

   • No Obstacle Avoidance: DJI Neo does not feature obstacle detection. Always maintain visual line of sight for safety. BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations require appropriate skills, conditions, and legal compliance.

   • Controlled Environment Testing: All performance data is based on tests conducted in controlled settings using production models. Real-world results may differ due to environmental factors and firmware versions.

   • Media Usage: All promotional images and videos were captured using DJI Neo under professional conditions and may include post-processing. They are for reference only.

   • Product Variability: Actual product appearance, performance, and screen displays may vary slightly due to materials or production batches.

   • Palm Takeoff/Landing Safety: Perform palm takeoff and landing only in calm conditions. Keep your palm level, avoid touching propellers, and never attempt to grab the drone mid-air.

   • Control Options: Some flight modes require DJI Goggles, RC Motion devices, or specific remote controllers.

   • Wi-Fi Connection: Certain features require a smartphone connection via Wi-Fi using the DJI Fly app.

     • With the Fly app or standard remote: both stabilization features are auto-enabled and cannot be turned off.

     • HorizonBalancing angle: ±30° with Fly app; ±45° with motion control.

   • Stabilization Notes:

     • 4K/30fps with HorizonBalancing is supported on all control methods except motion control.

     • When using DJI Goggles and a motion controller, you can switch between stabilization modes or disable them.

   • Battery & Charging:

     • Max flight time: Tested up to specific durations under controlled conditions (e.g., 2 m/s speed, no wind).

     • Charging: A charger >45W supports simultaneous charging of 3 batteries; <45W charges up to 2.
