Raw License Key and PROSSD 1TB:
The Zenmuse X9-8K supports video capture up to 8K and comes with a raw license key. It also includes the DJI PROSSD 1TB drive, PROSSD mount, and a USB-C high-speed data cable necessary for raw recording.

DL PZ 17-28mm Lens with Low-Pass Filter:
Along with the raw license key, the X9-8K Combo includes a DL lens mount and the DJI DL PZ 17-28mm T3.0 ASPH lens, which features a built-in optical low-pass filter (OLPF) to ensure maximum color accuracy.

Advanced Image Processing with DCCS and ACES:
The camera supports the widely-used ACES workflow, allowing seamless compatibility with other cinema cameras. DJI’s DCCS color science reproduces natural, vivid skin tones in various lighting conditions and matches ARRI footage aesthetics. The full-frame Zenmuse X9-8K uses a proprietary chip for high-performance image processing.

Advanced 4-Axis Stabilization:
The system includes selectable Z-axis stabilization that minimizes vertical camera shake, especially useful during dolly shots. This is built into the camera, complementing the gimbal’s 3-axis stabilization. Tilt stabilization employs dual symmetrical motors, while the pan and roll axes feature extra stiffness buffering. Additional sensors include a downward-facing ToF sensor, forward and downward dual-vision sensors, an IMU, and a barometer, all governed by an improved stabilization algorithm.

Zenmuse X9-8K Camera with DL Lens Mount:
The DL mount supports full-frame capture using DJI’s lightweight carbon fiber prime lenses (24mm, 35mm, 50mm). It also allows interchangeable mounts for Sony E-mount or Leica M-mount lenses and is compatible with ultra-wide, f/0.95 large-aperture, electronic zoom, macro, and anamorphic cine lenses. ProRes Raw, 422 HQ, and H.264 Capture:
The camera can record:

• Up to 8K 60fps ProRes raw in 17:9 full-frame or 5.5K 60fps ProRes raw in 17:9 Super35.

• Up to 8K 30fps ProRes 422 HQ in 17:9 full-frame.

• Up to 8K 75fps ProRes raw in 2.39:1 full-frame.

• DCI 4K 60fps ProRes 422 HQ or H.264 in full-frame or Super35.

• UHD 4K 120fps ProRes HQ, HQ LT, or H.264 in full-frame.

Dual Native ISO:
The camera offers dual native ISO values at 800 and 5000, with an extended EI range from 200 to 12800. It delivers 14.7 stops of dynamic range for detailed imaging across various lighting environments.

LiDAR Focus Control:
The LiDAR system uses up to 43,200 ranging points within a 33-foot detection range, providing excellent focusing, even in low light. Focus pulling is visualized via a built-in depth meter. The modular LiDAR focusing unit mounts to the front of the rig for intuitive, precise focus control.

Autofocus Features:
The system maintains focus despite fast subject movement causing motion blur. A separately sold focus motor allows autofocus with manual lenses. Continuous autofocus integrates with ActiveTrack Pro, which is especially helpful for solo operators.

Automated Manual Focus (AMF):
AMF blends manual focus accuracy with autofocus convenience. Operators can manually control focus at any time using the right-hand grip’s focus wheel, which features dynamic damping for tactile feedback.

In-Camera ND Filters:
Built-in motorized ND filters ranging from ND 0.3 to ND 2.7 allow quick adjustments to changing lighting, ideal for outdoor shoots with variable cloud cover.

ActiveTrack Pro:
DJI’s ActiveTrack Pro combines continuous autofocus and composition adjustments for smooth, professional tracking shots right from the start. It relies on computer vision, deep learning, and CineCore 3.0 processing power.

Dual Focus, Iris, and Control Grips:
The right-hand grip features a focus wheel that also controls main camera settings such as menus and exposure. The left-hand grip includes a joystick for pan/tilt control, useful for framing adjustments during follow mode.

Single User or Crew-Assisted Operation:
The system provides excellent stabilization in a lightweight design, making it suitable for solo operators or those with assistants. It effectively counters camera shake caused by less experienced operators and works well handheld, with dual grips, shoulder-mounted, or tripod setups. A Sport mode is available for faster action shots. It can be used in standard, underslung, jib, or crane configurations.

Media Storage Options:
Raw footage requires the included PROSSD 1TB drive. The USB Type-C port enables external recording and eliminates the need for an SSD reader. It also includes a built-in CFexpress Type-B card slot.

Built-In 5.5" Touchscreen Monitor:
The camera features a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 touchscreen display with 1000 cd/m² brightness for easy monitoring and control.

Audio Recording:
Integrated stereo microphones capture dual-channel 24-bit audio. There’s a built-in 3.5mm input and an XLR input available via an expander plate.

Power Options:
The Ronin 4D uses TB50 intelligent batteries (shared with Ronin 2 and Inspire 2), offering up to 2.5 hours of shooting per charge and full recharge in about 1.5 hours. It supports auto-heating for cold weather operation and includes an AC adapter for continuous power during extended shoots.
