Introducing the DJI RS 4 Mini
The DJI RS 4 Mini is a newly released, ultra-compact, and lightweight gimbal built for content creators. With features like auto-locking axes, intelligent subject tracking and composition, Teflon™-enhanced balancing, and third-generation native vertical shooting, it delivers a smoother, more efficient workflow—ideal for solo creators and independent filmmakers aiming for professional results with ease.
Product Highlights
2nd-Generation Auto Axis Locks
Responsive Follow Mode
Quick Vertical Mode Switch
Teflon™-Coated Axis for Smoother Balancing
Intelligent Tracking and Framing

Upgraded Auto Axis Locks
The DJI RS 4 Mini introduces second-generation automated axis locks—previously exclusive to DJI’s top-tier gimbals. These locks automatically disengage when powered on and re-engage when powered off or in sleep mode, speeding up your workflow during setup, filming, and storage.
Supports Cameras and Smartphones
Whether you're using a mirrorless, vlogging camera, or a smartphone, the RS 4 Mini can handle it. With a 2 kg (4.4 lbs) payload capacity, it supports advanced setups like a Sony A7 series camera with a 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. Add accessories like DJI Mic and fill lights for stable and smooth operation. With the optional Phone Holder, switching to smartphone filming is seamless.
Wireless Control and Zoom Functionality
Once paired via Bluetooth, the gimbal lets you start or stop recording directly from the handle—no need to touch the camera or phone. A new zoom control feature also lets you operate Power Zoom lenses or activate Clear Image Zoom by simply pushing the joystick, enabling easy one-handed shooting.
Improved User Interface
The touchscreen has been enhanced with clearer icons and smoother performance. It now includes new gimbal status indicators and allows you to adjust settings using the front dial. A screen lock function dims the display while showing current modes, preventing accidental touches and saving battery.
Compact Briefcase Handle
A redesigned briefcase handle made specifically for the RS 4 Mini is now smaller and lighter—about 20% more compact and 12% lighter than the previous version. It offers better comfort and control during low-angle shots.
Innovative Filming for Stunning Results
Introducing the DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module
The new DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module is a versatile accessory for the RS 4 series, designed to help beginners achieve precise subject tracking and consistent composition. It’s especially effective for orbit shots, backward tracking, and solo filming with a stationary camera. The module can track subjects up to 10 meters away, even in complex scenes with multiple people. If the subject briefly leaves the frame, the gimbal will automatically reacquire and follow them.
Quick Magnetic Mounting
Thanks to its magnetic quick-release design, the tracking module can be securely attached to the gimbal’s tilt axis in just one second, making setup fast and seamless.
Enhanced Tracking Modes
A new Responsive mode enables the gimbal to react more quickly to hand movements—ideal for dynamic orbit shots. The traditional Smooth Follow mode is still available, offering smooth and cinematic motion tracking.
Next-Level Stabilization with the RS 4 Mini
The RS 4 Mini now features the 4th-generation RS stabilization algorithm, delivering an optimal mix of strong stabilization and natural camera motion.
Extended Battery Life and Quick Charging
Battery performance has been improved by 30% over the previous model, now offering up to 13 hours of use. Just a 30-minute charge gives you up to 5 hours of shooting time.
Lightweight Design, Strong Payload
Weighing just 890 g (2 lbs), the RS 4 Mini supports payloads of up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs). It accommodates most mirrorless cameras and lenses, such as the Sony A7 series with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens and a DJI Mic receiver. Its high-torque motors maintain stability even when zoomed in to maximum focal lengths, without requiring rebalancing—when used with recommended gear.
