The DJI RS 4 Mini now features second-generation automated axis locks, a feature previously reserved for DJI’s top-tier gimbals. When the gimbal powers on, all three axes automatically unlock; when powered off or set to sleep mode, they lock automatically. This streamlines the setup, shooting, and storage process.
Versatile Camera & Smartphone Support
Designed to support mirrorless, vlogging, and smartphone setups, the RS 4 Mini has a maximum payload of 2 kg (4.4 lbs). It easily accommodates professional setups like a Sony A7 series paired with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens. Combine it with DJI Mic, lights, and other accessories for fluid motion. With the optional Phone Holder, you can quickly switch to stabilizing a smartphone.
Wireless Controls & Zoom Functionality
Once paired via Bluetooth, the gimbal’s record button can control your camera or phone’s recording functions. A new zoom feature enables smooth zoom control with Power Zoom or Clear Image Zoom lenses by simply moving the joystick, making single-handed shooting easier.
Improved Touchscreen and Interface
The updated touchscreen offers clearer visuals and smoother performance. It now includes gimbal status indicators, and you can fine-tune parameters using the front dial. An auto-lock screen feature dims the display while still showing key mode info—helping avoid accidental touches and saving power.

The newly engineered briefcase handle for the RS 4 Mini is about 20% smaller and 12% lighter than previous versions. This ergonomic upgrade makes handheld low-angle shooting more comfortable and efficient.
The DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module is a new, universal accessory designed for the RS 4 series. It enhances the shooting experience for beginner videographers by enabling intelligent subject tracking and consistent composition. Ideal for capturing orbit shots, backward tracking shots, or filming yourself from a static camera setup, this module ensures your subject stays centered in the frame. It offers tracking up to 10 meters away and performs reliably in busy environments with multiple people. If the subject steps out of view, the gimbal can automatically reacquire and continue tracking.
The tracking module connects securely to the gimbal’s tilt axis in just one second, thanks to its magnetic quick-release design, allowing for fast setup and immediate use.
A new Responsive mode allows the gimbal to react more quickly to hand movements, perfect for dynamic shots like orbits. For more cinematic results, Smooth Follow mode provides gentle, fluid motion tracking, continuing DJI’s tradition of refined gimbal behavior.
The RS 4 Mini features DJI’s latest 4th-Generation RS Stabilization Algorithm, which balances powerful stabilization with a natural feel in camera movement—ideal for both action and cinematic content.
Battery life has been boosted by 30% compared to the previous model, now supporting up to 13 hours of continuous use. Fast charging provides up to 5 hours of runtime from just a 30-minute charge—keeping creators filming longer with less downtime.
